Breecy Like Sunday Mornin’ (Jon) vs. A’Mon one (Bohlsen)
It’s time for the 6th Game of the Week—This is no ordinary game; this is “Sunday Breezy vs. A’Mon a Mission”!
On one side, we have Breecy Like Sunday Mornin’, run by Jon, whose team has been coasting along like a lazy Sunday brunch with mimosas. But don’t be fooled—Jon’s squad has teeth, and this week, he’s out to prove that “breezy” doesn’t mean “easy.”
On the other side, we have A’Mon one, piloted by Bohlsen, who’s been on a mission to dominate and secure a playoff spot. His team is locked and loaded, ready to leave Jon’s team wondering where the sunny vibes went.
Let’s break down the matchups, one player at a time, and see who’s ready to leave the other in the dust.
Quarterback Showdown: C. Williams vs. Josh Allen
Jon’s QB: Caleb Williams (CHI)
- Projection: 15.50 points vs. Jacksonville
Insight:
If Caleb Williams continues to find his groove, Jon will look like a genius. If not, well… let’s just say, Jon this might be his last year in the league #pancakeking.
Bohlsen’s QB: Josh Allen (BUF)
- Projection: 19.52 points vs. NY Giants
Insight:
Allen is facing the New York Giants, whose defense has been sneaky good and consistently puts pressure on opposing QBs.
QB Verdict:
This is a lopsided battle. Josh Allen is likely to score points like they’re on sale at a dollar store, while C. Williams might be left looking for a highlight reel moment… or, at least, one completion.
Running Back Matchup: (Jon’s Mystery) & Alvin Kamara vs. Rico Dowdle & Chase Brown
**Jon’s RB1: **
- Projection: [Currently Empty]
Insight:
Jon has a big question mark at RB1. Maybe he’s working on a last-minute waiver wire move or waiting for a miracle from the football gods. Who will the waiver wire wonder be??
Jon’s RB2: Alvin Kamara (NO)
- Projection: 14.94 points vs. Tampa Bay
Insight:
Jon made a big trade this week for Alvin Kamara and is hoping it pays off. His pass-catching abilities make him a solid option. Kamara could easily drop a 20-point game if he gets in rhythm, but he’ll have to avoid Tampa’s solid front seven, which at times can turn even the best RBs into frustrated runners.
Bohlsen’s RBs
- Rico Dowdle (DAL): 10.19 points vs. Detroit
- Chris Brown (CIN): 7.81 points vs. Seattle
Insight:
Bohlsen is fielding Rico Dowdle, who is now the clear RB1 in Dallas. Chase Brown another RB who has made the most with his opportunity this year. Ethan will need solid games from both to overcome Kamara.
RB Verdict:
Kamara has the potential to carry Jon’s RB corps on his back, but Bohlsen has a slight depth advantage with two decent options. Still, Jon better fill that empty RB slot, or this could go south quickly.
Wide Receiver Battle: D. Johnson, G. Pickens, and A. Lazard vs. G. Wilson, C. Kirk, and A. St. Brown
Jon’s WRs
- Diontae Johnson (CAR): 10.78 points vs. Atlanta
- George Pickens (PIT): 10.56 points vs. Las Vegas
- Allen Lazard (NYJ): 7.83 points vs. Buffalo
Insight:
Jon’s wide receiver room is pretty solid, but it’s definitely got some boom-or-bust potential. Diontae Johnson has been reliable, but he’s facing an Atlanta defense that’s tougher than expected. George Pickens? If he’s not mossing a defender, he’s doing his best impression of being invisible. Allen Lazard is leading the league with 6 drops but has a connection with Rodgers, let’s just say prayers are in order.
Bohlsen’s WRs
- Garrett Wilson (NYJ): 11.85 points vs. Buffalo
- Christian Kirk (JAX): 9.48 points vs. Chicago
- Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET): 14.57 points vs. Dallas
Insight:
Bohlsen’s wide receivers are no joke. Garrett Wilson has a high ceiling, but has been inconsistent this year. Christian Kirk has been quietly putting up solid numbers recently and could easily eat this week. And then there’s Amon-Ra St. Brown, the Sun God himself, who’s capable of blowing up and putting up WR1 numbers week after week.
WR Verdict:
Advantage Bohlsen. With Amon-Ra St. Brown leading the charge, Jon’s WRs will need to show up in a big way. Pickens has high upside, but if Wilson and Kirk have big games, Jon could be in trouble faster than you can say “Sunday Breezy.”
Tight End Duel: Evan Engram vs. Dalton Kincaid
Jon’s TE: Evan Engram (JAX)
- Projection: 7.47 points vs. Chicago
Insight:
Engram has missed some time and is facing Chicago who has been solid this year. If he can score a TD, Jon’s team might finally breathe that Sunday breezy air.
Bohlsen’s TE: Dalton Kincaid (BUF)
- Projection: 7.36 points vs. NY Giants
Insight:
Dalton Kincaid is playing in one of the league’s most dynamic offenses. The Giants defense hasn’t exactly been a steel curtain, so if Josh Allen looks Kincaid’s way, Bohlsen could rack up some sneaky TE points here.
TE Verdict:
This is about as even as it gets. Both Engram and Kincaid are capable of putting up good numbers, but Kinkaids matchup is just a little juicier. Slight edge to Bohlsen here.
Kicker & Defense: Tucker & Steelers vs. Koo & Packers
Jon’s K: Justin Tucker (BAL)
- Projection: 8.48 points vs. Washington
Insight:
Justin Tucker is the best kicker in football. No contest. He’s basically a guaranteed 8-12 points, which could be the difference in a tight game like this one. Tucker’s leg is basically insured like it’s a fine piece of art.
Bohlsen’s K: Younghoe Koo (ATL)
- Projection: 8.41 points vs. Carolina
Insight:
Koo is no slouch either—he’s reliable and should see plenty of opportunities against a Carolina defense that gives up more than it should. But let’s be honest, Younghoe Koo is no Justin Tucker.
Jon’s D/ST: Pittsburgh Steelers
- Projection: 10.71 points vs. Las Vegas
Insight:
The Steelers defense is always a force to be reckoned with, and they’re going up against a Vegas offense that has been, well, shaky. Expect sacks, turnovers, and maybe even a defensive TD. This could be Jon’s ace in the hole.
Bohlsen’s D/ST: Green Bay Packers
- Projection: 7.69 points vs. Denver
Insight:
The Packers defense is facing a Denver Broncos team that’s been less effective than a soggy napkin. Green Bay could easily put up a decent score here, but they’ll have to force turnovers to keep pace with Jon’s defense.
K/D Verdict:
Jon’s kicker/defense combo has a slight edge with Tucker and the Steelers, but Bohlsen’s Packers defense has a juicy matchup too. This will be close, but don’t sleep on Justin Tucker’s golden leg.
Final Prediction: A’Mon a Mission Steals the Win!
Both teams have solid lineups, but Bohlsen’s squad is just a bit stronger this week. With Josh Allen, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Garrett Wilson leading the charge, Bohlsen’s team has a higher ceiling and should be able to pull off the win.
Final Score Prediction:
- Jon (Breecy Like Sunday Mornin’): 87.3
- Bohlsen (A’Mon one): 94.8
Why Bohlsen Wins:
The combination of Josh Allen and Amon-Ra St. Brown is just too strong. If Bohlsen’s WRs perform as expected, Jon will be left scrambling to keep up. Plus, with that empty RB spot, Jon’s facing an uphill battle unless he makes a waiver wire move fast.
Why Jon Could Still Pull It Off:
If Kamara goes nuclear and Caleb Williams has a big game, Jon could definitely make this closer than expected. And if the Steelers defense shows up big, we could be looking at a photo finish.
